[edytuj] Polish trains

I have uploaded some pictures in the commons. I get no response in the village pump so I wil try my luck here.Smiley.toerist (dyskusja) 09:43, 24 mar 2012 (CET)

I get confused when I compare the EN57 and EN71 categories, there are old and renovated trains and renummering going on. I uploaded File:Gdansk SKM terminus.jpg and File:Gdansk SKM terminus 2.jpg but I am not certain wich type it is. Another frustration: Is there no railmap with the correct railway line numbers? Is had to a lot of research to find the correct line number for File:Jaslo station.jpg. Smiley.toerist (talk) 11:26, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Wich type of polish locomotive is this? File:Line 108 between Jaslo and Zagórz.jpg. And could someone give the precise location along the line?Smiley.toerist (talk) 00:05, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Here's what I've found:
Perhaps someone else will be able to give some information about the lines. Thanks, --Mikołka (dyskusja) 21:39, 26 mar 2012 (CEST)

I have added two pictures to (Zagórz train station) and three to the line 107 tot the border. Is it stil posible to continue with the train on the Slovakian side as I did in 2004? I get confused with the train stations in Zagórz, are there two stations? Is this an other one? Smiley.toerist (dyskusja) 13:52, 28 mar 2012 (CEST)

[edytuj] LOT Polish offices

Hi! The company still states that "Ul. 17 Stycznia 39" (File:LOT 003.jpg) is the registered office, but it also has a newer office building at "Ul. 17 Stycznia 42" (File:LOT 006.jpg) - "Ul. 17 Stycznia 42" is labeled as "Board Office" and "Maintenance and Overhaul Service" (See this image) - EuroLOT's address is also "Ul. 17 Stycznia 39" Did LOT move its executives to "Ul. 17 Stycznia 42", or are they still in "Ul. 17 Stycznia 39"? Which building is considered to be LOT's headquarters?

Thanks WhisperToMe (dyskusja) 03:35, 27 mar 2012 (CEST)

According to KRS (National Registry of Companies) the official address of the Polskie Linie Lotnicze LOT SA is ul. 17 Stycznia 39. Therefore even if some divisions were moved to the new building, the old one should be referred as the main HDQ. --Mikołka (dyskusja) 05:54, 27 mar 2012 (CEST)
The question really boils down to whether a company's headquarters is a company's legal address of incorporation or the actual location of its top management. In PLL LOT's case the former is at No. 39 and the latter seems to be at No. 43 (not 42, mind you, that would be on the other side of the street where there is in fact nothing but allotment gardens). While I couldn't find any hard and fast online source confirming that the top management have moved to the new building, it is extremely likely that they have. File:LOT 009.jpg clearly shows that No. 43 is the location of PLL LOT's biuro zarządu – translated vaguely as "board office" on the same sign, but zarząd in Polish may only refer to the management bord, not the board of directors. I found a PLL LOT job advertisement that says the CEO's secretariat is located at No. 43 (przy ulicy 17 Stycznia 43 w sekretariacie Prezesa Zarządu). And, well, think about it; if you were the CEO of a company that has just built (then apparently sold and leased back) a big shiny new office building that is one of the highest-class in Warsaw, would you move there or still sit cramped in the old, small and ugly building next door just because you didn't bother to go through all the red tape and fees necessary to change the company's legal address? — Kpalion(dyskusja) 10:44, 27 mar 2012 (CEST)
Both LOT's website and Registry give No. 39 as the address, so I would prefer to follow (official) sources. You're right, the board has likely moved to the new building. But if the company doesn't bother to change the address, why should Wikipedia do? ;) After all, WP:NOTYELLOW, contact information is not that important. As for the picture of No. 43, you can put in the description what the sign says – Board Office. --Mikołka (dyskusja) 11:52, 27 mar 2012 (CEST)
Sometimes companies do have different executive management locations than the "registered offices" - On the English Wikipedia we go by where the executive management is, even if the company registered office is different. I know it is different on some other Wikipedias, where the registered office goes in the infobox. Accor had its registered office in a suburb of Paris, but the executives were located in Paris itself. However in the case of LOT, we need to have evidence that the management is in X building. [edytuj] Wehrwolf

Please note that the "Führerhauptquartier" Werwolf has been erroneously named "Wehrwolf" on some WP editions, including yours. (See the "Naming" section in the English version for the correct info). The page "Wehrwolf" should be moved to "Werwolf". Asav (dyskusja) 10:37, 3 kwi 2012 (CEST)
